Program Notes
Little Drops of Water was written for the cherub choir of Marble Collegiate Church (NYC), one of the oldest continuous Protestant congregations in the United States. Harmonic interest is provided by a rollicking piano part, and simple counterpoint to the unison chorus by the glockenspiel. The singers are required however to carry two of the verses in a modified retrograde of the main melody.

And the beauteous land.
And the little moments,
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of eternity.
Little deeds of kindness,
Little words of love,
Make our earth an Eden,
Like the heaven above.
